Calendula: The Millennial Flower
Calendula is a beautiful orange flower that has multiple beneficial properties for us. It is something they already knew in ancient times. For many centuries it was the flower that decorated the homes of the Greeks, Romans, Indians and Arabs. In fact, it arrived in Europe in the Middle Ages and stayed here to take advantage of its beauty and properties. The Egyptians considered it a miraculous plant.
In ancient times it was used for all types of home remedies: from healing an open wound to a scorpion sting, or treating irritated skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties also made it perfect for reducing swelling from insect bites.
